TWAM receives £20,000 grant from The Peter Stebbings Memorial Charity

James Noble

We are incredibly happy to announce that we have received a £20,000 grant from The Peter Stebbings Memorial Charity to put towards shipping costs.

We are grateful for a very generous grant of £20,000 towards reducing the contribution paid towards our tools by their recipients in Africa. We ask all the projects who receive our tools to contribute towards the cost of preparing them. Whilst this amount is nominal and encourages responsible ownership from those who receive them, we recognise it can still be a huge sum to groups living in the poorest rural subsistence economies.

Thanks to the Peter Stebbings Memorial Charity we have been able to significantly reduce the contribution from the poorest countries we serve. Their generosity will directly enable many of the ultra-poor communities within Uganda, Zimbabwe and DR Congo to receive tools and transform their lives.

On behalf of those groups, we say our heartfelt thank you to the charity.

We take a wide variety of tools. Click the button above for the full list of accepted tools, and to find your nearest local collector or drop-off point.

Our work is mostly done by volunteers, whether that's driving around collecting tools, refurbishing them, or helping out in the office. Have a look at our roles.

Support our work by covering the costs involved with putting together a tool kit, as a donation, or an alternative gift on behalf of a loved one.
