Tools sent
in 2023
In 2023, we were able to send the equivalent of 20 standard 20-foot containers (twelve 20ft containers and four 40ft containers) filled with life-transforming tools to Africa! We're thrilled that we were able to send even more containers than last year, and we wouldn't have been able to achieve this impact without the help of our incredible team of volunteers across the country, and our supporters who continue to make our work possible.
These tools have all been sent to organisations that provide training courses to extremely vulnerable people - those living in poverty with absolutely no options and no way to change their lives. They need a helping hand to get started, and they put in the hard work to learn a new skill and start earning once they have finished their courses. The transformation is truly inspirational.

Key Statistics
We send a wide variety of toolkits, as well as individual tools, power tools, and accessories. We sent a total of 15,518 tool kits this year. Some of the highlights include 2,405 electric sewing machines, 723 manual sewing machines, 685 carpentry kits, 596 computers, and many more. Here is an overview of the most popular kits that we send and the countries that they were sent to.
We are so proud of our team for accomplishing this. Our work is done by our team of over 500 volunteers nationwide and 8 staff members. Every role is crucial in getting tools from the houses of people who donate them to the skills training centres where they will transform thousands of lives.
