Individuals, churches, groups, and charities across Africa often turn to tailoring when starting livelihood-creating projects. Few people buy their clothes ready-made, and go to their local tailor instead. The gift of a sewing machine will allow a newly trained tailor to work from home, put food on the table, and fulfil their dream of sending their children to school.

This is a virtual gift. Your purchase will cover the costs of collecting a donated sewing machine and refurbishing it, ready to be sent off to a skills training centre in Africa. You will receive a card to recognise your purchase of a virtual gift through the post. This will be despatched by second class mail within 5 working days of receiving your order. On occasion we may need to substitute or omit certain items in tool kits.
Because your purchase of a virtual gift is in fact a donation, you can opt in for Gift Aid (if you are a UK tax payer) with no VAT due. If you choose to Gift Aid this gift by ticking the box above, you confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and would like Tools with a Mission to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations you have made, as well as any future donations, until you notify us otherwise. You understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year, it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
All prices are inclusive of postage and packing the gift card within the UK. However, we welcome an online donation to reflect the delivery charge via the donate facility on the TWAM website.
