The indomitable Steven, one of our volunteers who refurbishes tools at home, has shared a major milestone about his work this year.
"Well," he writes, "I have just finished wrapping my restored vintage sewing machines for 2025. These will be collected early in January 2026."
"I believe that, through great teamwork, TWAM has a system in place which has now allowed me, as a home worker, to restore around around 50 machines in 2025."

Steven's commitment and passion is testament, both to the dedication of our volunteers, but also of our wider work with sewing machines. 2,232 sewing machine kits (a machine plus a bag of accessories) have been sent this year to Africa.
"My sewing machines were either supplied by TWAM or locally donated for TWAM. With hope, we can increase from 50 to 80 machines in 2026," writes Steven, in a stirring sign of his determination to continue our good work.
"I would like to thank all of the TWAM Team for their support and allowing me to be part of changing lives."
We are so grateful to Steven for helping refurbish and send the THOUSANDS of sewing machines sent to Africa this year by TWAM! Thank you Steven - and thank you to the many volunteers work so hard behind the scenes for our life-changing mission. This one's for you!
