Volunteering

Volunteering in Cowdenbeath

We can offer full training, support, encouragement and the chance to join our TWAM family.  We are looking for:

  1. Warehouse based tool refurbishers on a Wednesday.  We'd love to hear from you if you have or are willing to learn skills in tool refurbishment.   You will be helping to refurbish tools that may well have ended up in landfill.  The tools will then be sent out the charities in Africa for livelihood creation.

  2. Tool refurbisher with electrical skills.  We'd love to hear from you if you have electrical skills and are willing to learn skills in tool refurbishment.   You will be helping to refurbish tools that may well have ended up in landfill.  The tools will then be sent out the charities in Africa for livelihood creation.

"I'm John the Foreman at TWAM in Cowdenbeath, we need some help in tool refurbishment, as we start to build a new team to operate the centre on a Wednesday.  Can you help us?".

We have free on site internet.  There is car parking and access to local bus routes.   Ideally we'd like volunteers to do half a day a week or more regularly.

Our mission is to collect unwanted tools, refurbish them, sort them into trade kits and send them across the world.  We send around 20 containers filled with over 300 tonnes of tools every year.  You could help us make a difference to thousands of lives a year through the provision of tools.

Could you be a new volunteer?  Get in touch with John at TWAM on 01383 511704  Tuesday or Thursday between 10am and 3pm or email scotland@twam.uk.

Meet some of our nationwide volunteers

John, our Cowdenbeath Centre Foreman
